P2P Workshop Diaspora Cameroon & Tunisia

I participated in a workshop held in Frankfurt on November 15th and 16th, 2024, as part of the GIZ Global Programme “Shaping Development-oriented Migration” (MEG). This program aims to strengthen cooperation with the diaspora as a key actor in sustainable development, operating in 14 countries, including four in Africa. The workshop specifically focused on a “peer-to-peer” exchange between the Cameroonian and Tunisian diasporas in Germany, recognizing their qualified and well-integrated presence in German society and their diverse engagement in their countries of origin.

The objectives of the meeting were to promote exchanges between Tunisian and Cameroonian diaspora actors in Germany, share lessons learned from the African Diaspora Network (ADN) within the ADIS24 Symposium framework, and examine the applicability of similar models in the German context. Furthermore, it aimed to identify collaboration opportunities in health, digitalization, and investments, and to strengthen the engagement of both diasporas in development projects in Africa.

As the CEO of Meducadeus SARL, a Tunisian-labeled startup, and a founding member of the Vereinigung Tunesischer Ärzte in Deutschland (VTÄD), my participation offered a valuable opportunity to connect and network with potential partners from both the Cameroonian and Tunisian diasporas, exploring avenues for collaboration and showcasing my startup.
